Alpha Chapter in General
The Alpha Chapter Founders
These are the seven founders of Alpha Phi Delta -- they are also the founders of our Alpha Chapter. Attending Syracuse University, these seven men began the local Italian fraternity "Alpha Phi Delta" in 1914, but then by way of a merger in 1916, this local fraternity became the Alpha Chapter of Alpha Phi Delta National Fraternity.
The founders, swearing the Oath of Brotherhood on November 5, 1914, are: Joseph Cangiamila, Dominic T. Ciolli, Ferdinand F. DiBartolo, Anthony T. Frascati, Nicholas Frunzi, Otto Gelormini, and Cesidio A. Guarini
Alpha Chapter 1930
This is our Alpha Chapter at Syracuse in 1930. This would begin a period where the Chapter would wane, finally closing in 1935.
