Paul E. Zammit, Jr.
Our 56th National President (2024-present)
Paul E. Zammit, Jr. attended St. John’s University (Staten Island Campus) and pledged the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Delta during his sophomore year He was immediately elected chapter secretary, a position he held until he graduated. Paul graduated in May 2005 with a degree in Accounting. He continued his education at the College of Staten Island obtaining a Master’s Degree in Business Management in June 2009.
Immediately following his graduation from St. John’s, Brother Zammit became a very active alumnus. He helped restart the Gamma Sigma Alumni Association and served as its treasurer for two years. He also became a member of the New York Alumni Club and was immediately elected secretary, and wrote the club’s newsletter, The Beacon.
He continued his involvement and joined the Long Island Alumni Club. In 2013, Zammit was chosen as the District’s Outstanding Alumnus. If being a part of two alumni clubs wasn’t enough, Paul also decided to join the Brooklyn Alumni Club.
In 2007, Brother Zammit was elected to his most important position in the Fraternity, North Jersey District Governor, a position he held for many years. He was a member of the North Jersey Alumni Club and helped them launch their bi-annual Brotherhood for Life Seminar (an idea which was brought over from the New York City District). This seminar has helped the alumni reach out to the pledges along with the undergraduates and show them what the Fraternity has to offer after graduating college.
During his tenure, the undergraduate entities worked together to make themselves stronger. He was also instrumental in helping the Epsilon Delta Chapter (Montclair State University) become a reality by being their alumnus advisor/pledgemaster during their colony stage.
In 2016, Brother Zammit was appointed to the position of National Secretary which he would go on to hold for four years, until his election as National Vice President. Brother Zammit was elected as National Vice President at 2020 National Council Meeting held at his alma mater, St. John’s University in Staten Island, New York. He served four terms as National Vice President, and in 2024 was elected by the National Council as the 56th National President of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity.
Paul Zammit is employed by the U.S. Government, as a Federal Agent. He previously worked as a clerk for four years and an auditor for six years for various U.S. Government agencies. Paul married his wife, Kristina, in 2014, they have two children.
