Gamma Pi Chapter Helps Out Local Fire Company

On October 22, 2023, Alpha Phi Delta's Gamma Pi Chapter (Ramapo College) lent a hand to an important part of the local community, as its brothers and friends got together to help out the members of Ridgefield Engine Company 3. The Chapter's brothers and friends helped out the fire company by assisting with a clean-up of the firehouse and fire trucks. Gamma Pi was glad to assist (again) at this fire company and expressed their gratitude for the good work of our firefighters, and for being given a chance to help out. The Chapter posted this message online to fire company, "Thank you for allowing us to assist you with the cleanup -- and more importantly thank you for everything you do for the community."

Chi Chapter Lends a Helping Hand to our Central Office

Brothers from our Chi Chapter (Penn State) gathered together to help our Central Office package-up, for distribution, our newest brothers' membership cards, membership certificates along with a welcome letter and other items. The Chapter volunteered to help our National Secretary get these items prepared to be mailed out to new members. The Chapter did a great job, and the new member items were able to be placed in the U.S. mail the next morning. A big thank you to Chi Chapter for stepping up to help out the Fraternity. Faciamus!

Gamma Iota Chapter Supports "Relay for Life"

The Relay for Life event for Gamma Iota (Pace University) for 2023 was organized by our Chapter's Executive Committee, and its Community Service Chairman in collaboration with the University. Relay For Life brings gathers supporters for the American Cancer Society and its vision to end cancer as we know it. Through both direct donations and monies raised at various tabling events, over $2,500.00 was raised. All brothers of the Chapter were required to participate in and be present at this event. This service event lasted 12 hours, with each and every brother in the Chapter taking a six hour shift. For this event and many others, Gamma Iota Chapter won the Alpha Phi Delta's 2023 Outstanding Community Service Award.

Pizza Fundraiser a Big Success for Delta Rho Chapter

Delta Rho Chapter (SUNY Oneonta) had its biggest service event of the 2022-23 school year with a "Pizza Fundraiser." The event was organized in conjunction with a local pizzeria near the University, "Sal's New Classic Pizza." With approval from our university, the Chapter was able to partner with the pizza shop, hosting a $15 all you can eat buffet. In doing this, the Chapter was able to raise $500 for breast cancer research. That amount was matched by the Alpha Phi Delta Foundation's Charitable-Matching program. So, in all, Delta Rho was able to make a $1,000 donation for Breast Cancer research.

Gamma Mu Visits Fraternity Archives to see our History

Gamma Mu Chapter (Stockton University) brothers and members of its fall pledge class made a visit to the Alpha Phi Delta National Archives in Camden, Delaware in spring 2023. There, the undergraduates in attendance were able to view historical documents related to the founding of their chapter, as well as various Fraternity documents and historical artifacts that tell the story of our fraternity's history -- like early charters, historical records, old photos, publications, etc. It was a very educational visit for the members. The visit concluded with an Italian dinner at a local Italian restaurant to celebrate our Fraternity's heritage.
