An American hero, Paul Sciullo II (Psi '92), a brother of Psi Chapter (Duquesne University), was killed in the line of duty as a Pittsburgh police officer on April 4, 2009. Born on November 26, 1972, brother Sciullo died at the young age of 36. From his obituary:
Officer Paul J. Sciullo II, 36, of Bloomfield, while serving his community as a Pittsburgh police officer, in the profession he loved, tragically lost his life in the line of duty, alongside two of his fellow officers, Stephen J. Mayhle and Eric Kelly, on Saturday, April 4, 2009. He was the beloved son of Paul "Max" and Julia "Sue" Sciullo; loving brother of Laura and Eric Zahren and Julia Mullen; cherished uncle of David Mullen, Luke, Anna and Mark Zahren; devoted nephew of Herman and Mariann Isaak, Margaret "Peggy" Sciullo, Grace Isaak, Ruth and Mike Close, Ralph Garrison, Linda and Jack DiMartini, Carmella and Rich Zielinski, the late William "Bimbo" Sciullo, Laura Sciullo and Patricia Garrison; beloved friend of Lisa Esposto; also survived by numerous loving cousins.
