![]() Carlo Lucatino (Gamma Xi '91) was re-elected to a fifth term as the Connecticut District for 2015-16 year at the Connecticut District Convention. In addition, the delegates to the Connecticut District Convention also elected three Assistant District Governors for the District for 2015-16; they are Mathew Rehbein (Delta Nu '96), his second term; Joseph Ferretti (Gamma Xi '88), his 4th term; and Brett O'Connell (Gamma Xi '11), his first term. The Connecticut District is made up of Gamma Xi (Southern Connecticut State University), the Connecticut Alumni Club, and the Merrimack Valley Alumni Club. Alpha Phi Delta's latest expansion project has resulted in the established of a Colony at Dowling College, in Oakdale, New York (Suffolk County, Long Island). The Colony had its first pledge class of twelve initiated in the presence of National President Christopher Mancusi, Expansion Chairman Salvatore Flagiello, UCC Chairman Samuel Bifulco and New York City East Governor Todd Cusato on April 11, 2015. We welcome our newest colony to the ranks of Alpha Phi Delta, with its founding members: Zachary Baker, Reid Barnowitz, Omar Bravo, Steven D'Angelo, John Femoyer, Kevin Fernandez, Werlhens Francois, James Hourihane, Matthew McArdle, Bryan Nee, Herlis Reyes, and Tarik Zahran.
![]() David Kozak (Beta Lambda '08) was re-elected to a fifth term as the Central Pennsylvania District for 2015-16 year at the Central Pennsylvania District Convention. In addition, the delegates to the Central Pennsylvania District Convention also elected three Assistant District Governors for the District for 2015-16; they are Noah Langer (Beta Lambda '08), Timothy Hornick (Beta Lambda '13), and Zachary Bartolotta (Beta Lambda '12). The Central Pennsylvania District is made up of Chi (Pennsylvania State University), Beta Lambda (St. Francis University), and the Beta Lambda Alumni Association.
![]() District Governors have been advised to report the results of their District's 2015 District Convention (i.e., Governor and Assistant Governor election results) by the Constitution deadline of June 1. Governors are to report their Convention results within two weeks of the event. Central Office noted the following regulations regarding District Conventions:

This year, for the first time, all Alpha Phi Delta Award Applications are able to be fully completed online (alternately, the old-style Microsoft Word formatted forms are also available for download). DEADLINE Monday, June 15, 2015 by 11:59pm. ONLINE APPLICATIONS Applications are available online. Go to www.apd.org, --> ABOUT --> NATIONAL AWARD APPLICATIONS --> select your award category/categories, as needed. For direct links to our online applications, click here: Most Improved Chapter* Outstanding Chapter* Outstanding Alumni Club* Outstanding Undergraduate Outstanding Alumnus Outstanding Community Service* Outstanding District* * an entity's application (chapter/alumni club/alumni association) requires an endorsement letter from District Governor to be attached. It can be attached to the online form, or completed separately. Please be sure to review the application online before completing it online, making sure you have all necessary attachments to attached electronically to the online form. Please note that, by custom, Most Improved Chapter, Outstanding Chapter, Outstanding Community Service, Outstanding Alumni Club and Outstanding District awards are applied for by the entity/group seeking the award; conversely, Outstanding Undergraduate and Outstanding Alumnus candidates are each, by custom, awards that a brother do not apply for himself, but rather is nominated for by someone other than himself. MICROSOFT WORD FORMATTED FORMS If you would prefer to apply using the older Microsoft Word versions of the forms, If you do not want to complete an award application online, and would rather download the old-styled Microsoft Word formatted award application, then go THE NATIONAL AWARDS APPLICATION webpage, and underneath each individual award category is the option to download an MS Word formatted form. You must download that file, complete it inside of Microsoft Word, then email the completed application and attach any necessary documents to that same email. DESCRIPTIONS OF THE AWARDS Award descriptions can be found on the National Awards Application webpage. PROCESS Once award applications are received, and approved by Central Office, they are forwarded to the National Awards Chairman, Alexander B. Fafara, Jr. PNP. He then appointed seven three-man subcommittees (one for each award category) to review the applications. Once the decision of the subcommittee is made, the Awards Chairman is notified, and Central Office prepares the Award Plaque for the winner, for presentation at the National Awards Banquet to be held at the National Convention on Saturday, August 15, 2015. The names of the award winners are held in strict secrecy until that event. Best of luck to all of our applicants and nominees. |
