Throughout her life, Mary Jean was a source of joy, kindness, and unwavering love. Her remarkable presence brought warmth to the hearts of everyone she encountered, and her witty humor brightened even the darkest of moments.  She had a deep and meaningful connection with her husband, R.J. Hartman, where they shared their hopes, dreams, and lighthearted moments together.

In the community, Mary Jean was known for her selfless acts of kindness and generosity. Her compassion knew no limits, as she dedicated herself to various charitable endeavors, always striving to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Mary Jean's willingness to lend a helping hand, to listen with a compassionate ear, and to offer solace during difficult times was a testament to her steadfast character.

Family held a special place in Mary Jean's heart. While she did not have children of her own, she formed deep connections with her extended family, friends, and children of friends, always treating them with the same love and care as if they were her own. Her support and encouragement were unwavering, and her presence brought comfort and strength to those who needed it most.

This scholarship celebrates her remarkable spirit and the indelible mark she left in our hearts and on this world. It will provide assistance to a deserving college student annually, ensuring that Mary Jean's legacy of love, kindness, and wit continues to have a positive impact in this world..
