On February 6, 2019, National Chaplain Lentini presented Chi Chapter with a "brotherhood banner" -- this is a new type of Fraternity banner that shows multiple images of the life of the Chapter. The banner is eight feet long by one foot high, and is perfect for promoting Fraternal life, while at the same time reminding brothers of the life of their Chapter.
![]() On April 10, 2018, National Chaplain, Fr. Lentini, presented Chi Chapter with a special 90th Anniversary banner as the Chapter prepares for its anniversary year. The banner, in addition to anniversary dates atop the banner, features the name of every Chi Chapter initiate since 1929 imprinted into the background of the banner. Pictured are few of the chapter's brothers posing with their new banner. ![]() On Friday, November 10, 2017, the brothers from our Chi Chapter welcomed two new members into the ranks of Alpha Phi Delta with the initiation of its Gamma Gamma Class. And so, Alpha Phi Delta welcome Anthony Spada (of Havertown, Pennsylvania) and Cooper Deck (of New Hartford, New York) to our brotherhood. Faciamus! Following a record-breaking spring semester, the Chi Chapter (composed of students attending Penn State), kicked off a successful fall semester baptizing a total of 10 pledges in the course of two separate Baptism ceremonies.
![]() Chapter President Mike Alberici (far right) proudly poses with his Chi Chapter Brothers. Just a year ago Chi was down to a handful of brothers, but a successful spring recruitment made all the difference! As witnessed by this September photo of Chi Chapter in front of Old Main on the Main Campus of Pennsylvania State University (State College, Penn.), one can see that Chi is back and stronger than ever! Our National Fraternity is very proud of the accomplishments of the men of Chi, who were rightly award as the Most Improved Chapter of 2017. Chi Chapter (Penn State) has struggled for the past few year with a chapter roster ranging between four and eight brothers. But those days are gone thanks to the most successful semester that Chi Chapter has had in its history.
During this spring semester, Chi Chapter initiated two pledge classes: Gamma Alpha Class was initiated in March with five members (Vincenzo Freschi, Ryan Grelle, Angelo Marino, William McVay, Peter Rinehart) and Gamma Beta class was initiated yesterday with 13 members (John Paul Adamonis, Joshua Aubel, Peter Ehrhart, Mitchell Gentry, Jorryn Goudy, Brooks Houck, Steven Madias, Reid Moncada, Blake Rohrbacher, James Shilling, Tyler Sost, Ryan Tiberia, Eric Zank). From 1928 until now, the two best semesters that Chi had until now were spring of 1936, and fall of 1949 – in each of those semester 12 new members were inducted. This semester Chi blasted through that record, with some 18 new members this semester, and a total of 19 for the year. This makes this best semester, and the best year, of initiations in the history of Chi Chapter. While we are referencing the record book: Gamma Beta Class’s 13 members make up the largest initiated pledge class in the Chapter’s history. The Chapter has grown five-fold since the fall. ![]() Congratulations on our Chi Chapter (Penn State), as it kicks off the spring semester with one of its largest pledge classes in sometime: five prospective members (and perhaps more on the way)! Best of luck to our Chi Brothers, and best wishes for a successful pledge class and semester. Established in 1928, Chi is one of our oldest active chapters. Faciamus! ![]() Our brothers at Chi Chapter (Penn State) have already begun promoting Alpha Phi Delta early on in the semester. According to one of the brothers of the Chapter, the brothers got about "forty names, numbers, and emails; so a good start before rush. Quite a few of them seemed really interested." Good work and congratulations to our Chi brothers! |
