Alpha Phi Delta Foundation Meeting Minutes

In this section you will find the minutes of past foundation board meetings and town hall sessions.   

Foundation Organization
The foundation is organized into several working sub-committees.  The committees are comprised of both current foundation directors, directors emeritus, and foundation volunteers.   These sub-committees are:

  • Alumni Emeritus - Organize annual AE luncheon. Conduct other activities to build
    affinity, engagement and recognition of our 50 yr+ brothers.
  • Annual Fund - Conduct the annual solicitation. Encourage consecutive giving and
    first time donors.
  • APD Cares - Fundraising to help brothers in need as a result of natural disasters.
  • Chapter Eternal - Acknowledge all death notices we receive. Maintain ongoing
    engagement with our deceased brothers’ families and notification of chapter
    brothers.
  • Board Recruitment and Development - Identify and recruit new board members.
    Manage development of current members.
  • Communications Strategy - Develop a strategic plan for issues ranging from web,
    social media, Kleos, letters, press releases and contribution acknowledgements.
  • Finance & Administration - Set finance and investment policy.
    Manage and oversee the Foundation’s finances.
  • Grant Oversight - Solicit and consider grant requests. Recommend action. Oversee
    grants once approved.
  • Major Gifts - Identify major gift prospects, cultivate and solicit. Develop and
    oversee an estate-giving programs
Each committee has a chair, meets regularly and reports back to the Board at our quarterly meetings.

Committees For Future Consideration:
  • External and Affinity Fundraising - Secure contributions and grants from source outside of Alpha Phi Delta.
  • Century Society - Continue the Centennial program. Evaluate and induct new members as appropriate.
  • 2024 Gala - Organize a fraternity-wide Gala in 2024.
