The Brothers of Beta Phi Chapter were pleased to be present as the National Council of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity, on February 16, unanimously approved its being fully reactivated as a Chapter of the Fraternity. The Chapter, en masse, was called up the floor of the Council to receive a frame certification of the restoration of its Charter. The Council then seated the delegates and voted to enjoin the Chapter as part of the Delaware Valley District. Following this the Chapter members were regaled with the Fraternity Handclap. Welcome back Beta Phi!
The brothers of Beta Phi Chapter were well represented at the 2019 Western Leadership Conference of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity held in Altoona, Pennsylvania on the campus of Penn State Altoona. The brothers made the 300 mile journey to get educated in risk management, recruiting, proper social media usage, chapter leadership, Italian heritage and future alumni life. Epsilon Nu Chapter was the host for this event held on frosty -- frigid cold -- February morning.
Congratulations Beta Phi Chapter. On November 1, 2018 the brothers of Beta Phi Chapter welcomed six new members from its eponymous Beta Phi Pledge Class into the Brotherhood of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity at an initiation ceremony held that evening in Glassboro. Following the initiation the brothers amassed at the Italian Affair Restaurant and celebrated their third pledge class since reactivation being initiated. Beta Phi Chapter was chartered in 1978, and reactivated in 2017.
The brothers of Beta Phi Chapter played host to the Delaware Valley District's 2018 District Convention on April 24, 2018. Brothers from every chapter showed up in good number for this important annual meeting. Governor Lentini was re-elected, and Brother Alec Knaust was the unanimous choice for Assistant District Governor. After the Convention, the brothers made their way to a local Italian eatery for a late dinner. Award winners at the Convention: Outstanding District Chapter - Gamma Mu; Outstanding Community Service - Delta Delta; Outstanding Academic Achievement - Beta Phi; Highest Academic Achievement for Pledge Class Member - Seif Albarqawi (Epsilon Beta, 3.8); Recognition Award for Most Initiates - Gamma Mu.
(above) On December 10, 2017, the newly initiated brothers of the reactivated Beta Phi Chapter met with Delaware Valley District Governor Lentini and received a welcome gift of a banner for the chapter. --- (below) Immediately before the Governor and the Chapter met for dinner to celebrate the success of the Beta Phi Chapter's reactivation, and discussed plans for the future of the Chapter.
Congratulations to our Beta Phi Chapter on the occasion of its reactivation on December 3, 2017. On that day seven students of Rowan University, composing the Beta Tau Pledge Class of the Beta Phi Chapter, were initiated into the brotherhood, officially reactivating the Chapter. We congratulate Nicholas Amorebella, Matthew Berg, Michael Bergstrom, Tyler Davis, Davon Dickson, Brody Martinez, and Joseph Musumeci on joining the ranks of our great Fraternity. Faciamus!
On October 22, 2017, on the campus of Rowan University, the reactivation of Beta Phi Chapter began with the Baptism Ceremony being carried out by Expansion Chairman Salvatore Flagiello. At this ceremony, flanked by many brothers of the Delaware Valley District, Beta Phi alumni, and visiting brothers, eight prospective members received their pledge pins. Past National President Chris Mancusi will be the Project Manager for this group. Congratulations to all involved on this new beginning for Beta Phi Chapter.
