Donald Derosa, Beta Iota '52, had quite a distinguished career. From his obituary:
His community activities and memberships include: Charter and Emeritus member of Utica College’s Board of Trustees, recipient of the College Service and Hall of Fame Awards, Emeritus member of the National Alumni Council, and a Director of the College’s Foundation Board; Past Chair, Oriskany District BSA Advancement Committee, its Eagle Scout Program, and recipient of the District’s Award of Merit; former Instructor, Adult Education Program for the Utica City School District; Knights of Columbus 4th Degree; Past President, Oriskany-Whitestown Rotary; Life Master, American Contract Bridge League; Boilermaker volunteer; member of the American Legion Post 1376, and the United States Naval Institute. Don also holds a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the Utica Citizens Corps. He was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Following military service, he enrolled in Utica College of Syracuse University where he was inducted into Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and Phi Alpha Theta Scholastic Honor Fraternity, graduating in 1954.
