Al and Carol Branchi Scholarship Fund
Beta Beta '60 September 18, 1941 - February 21, 2022
Al Branchi, a proud member of Alpha Phi Delta and Beta Beta chapter, passed away on February 21, 2022 at the young age of 80. Al is survived by his wife and frequent convention and gala attendee Carol, and his son Christian, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Al was instrumental in the years leading up to the Centennial Celebration, assisting in many areas of planning for the Centennial and leading the planning of the first-ever APD Gala. That Gala was Al's crowning achievement in Alpha Phi Delta, attended by over 400 people.
Al was very active locally with Beta Beta, and was associated with numerous alumni clubs: Lower Hudson Valley, New York, New Jersey, and Brooklyn to name a few. He had attended events at Beta Lambda and Psi chapter often. Al was truly the representation of what Alpha Phi Delta means.
The Al and Carol Branchi Scholarship
A scholarship is being formed to honor Al's memory. The plan is to have this fully funded and the first awarded at the 2022 National Convention in August. Please consider helping us reach this goal and keep Al's memory alive.
Our plan to initially fund this is to get 40 brothers to contribute $250 each. Each $10,000 raised awards one unit. Any contribution will help us reach, or exceed the goal. Any contribution, small or large, is appreciated by Al, Carol, their family, and friends.
