SPRING MEETING
The Youngstown Alumni Club and the Beta Omicron Chapter at YSU will be hosting this years Spring Meeting on Saturday, 18 April beginning at 8:00 am. There is a full weekend of activities planned by your hosts; Friday evening is the YAC Annual Bocce Night at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, which is located within walking distance of the hotels listed at the end of the Chapter Letter. The cost is $30 ($20 for undergrads) and includes an elegant meal with a cash bar. On Saturday evening the YAC is hosting a dinner at Mr. Anthony’s to recognize Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini as a Honorary Brother. The cost for the dinner (cash bar) is $35 for Alumni and $25 for the undergrads. Mr. Anthony’s is owned and operated by Brother Anthony Saadi and is renown for their fine cuisine.
To make reservations for either of the above activities please send a check made out in the amount of the activities to Alpha Phi Delta C/O Danny Thomas, Jr., 20 Sexton St. Struthers OH 44471. Your check will be your reservation. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 330-755-1891.
The Beta Omicron Brothers are working on plans for their after dinner party that night, as well. More to come on that one.
The Budget Committee is meeting soon and their recommended budget will be circulated shortly thereafter. This will give everyone ample time to review it and to have any questions answered a head of the meeting.
The Legislation will be circulated today for your perusal.
Don’t forget that each Undergrad chapter and Alumni Club in good standing can send two delegates to the meeting. An alumni Association in good standing has one delegate. A mileage stipend will be paid to each delegate.
There will also be an election of officers at the meeting. We will be electing a new National President and Executive Vice President as well as V.P. for Alumni Affairs and UCC Chair.
NEW DISTRICT GOVERNOR
Brother John Lallo has been appointed as the new District Governor for the Florida District. He takes over for reggie jackson who resigned. Brother Lallo has filled this position before and is quite capable of fulfilling those duties.
SUMMER CONVENTION
It is not too early to look forward to our fast growing Summer Convention. Once again we will be at the Lancaster Host Resort and Conference Center 29 July through 2 August. This event has been growing over the last 5 years and keeps getting better and better. The latest Kleos has all the information. Don’t be left out on all of the fun.
I am looking forward to a very productive Spring Meeting. Our Fraternity is in a very good position to strengthen and grow. Your voice is essential to the health and well being of our great Fraternity. Do not silence it by failing to show up and exercise your right to vote.
Attached is a list of hotels for the undergrads. Please do not wait until the last minute to score a room.
